Job Description

We\'re looking for a seasoned Controller who will report to long-time CFO and cover a maternity leave in the Agriculture industry.

Our client is a well-established company that is best known for their large range of agriculture products in Western Canada. They have a dynamic team, an amazing work culture with nice office located in south Winnipeg.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Monthly financial statements including a U.S. entity with consolidations.
• Month-end work for two separate companies.
• Oversee invoicing, payments and statements during busy shipping season.
• Financial reporting and analysis for separate grain company.
• Preparation of year-end working papers and financial statements.
• Preparing various detailed reconciliations and financial analysis on key business metrics and general ledger accounts.
• Supporting the CFO and finance team as required.

The successful candidate has:

• A CPA designation in good standing.
• 10+ years of Controller experience.
• Strong financial reporting skills including consolidations.
• Proven time management and organizational abilities.
• High level skills in digging deep into detail and financial analysis.
• The ability to work independently and learn quickly.
• Exposure/experience to product costing would be beneficial.
• Experience within the agriculture sector not required but a nice to have.

Compensation and benefits:

• The term is expected to be 6-8 months and can be contract or employee based.
• Well planned onboarding with current controller for smooth transition.
• Nice south Winnipeg office location and support of very seasoned CFO.
