Reporting to the National Director of Marketing, the Content Marketing Specialist will assist in promoting and building the reputation of Larco's three Richmond hotels, Hilton Vancouver Airport, Vancouver Airport Marriott and Sheraton Vancouver Airport, and their respective restaurants, through the creation and delivery of compelling digital messages across multiple platforms.As the Content Marketing Specialist, you will:
  • Independently capture, shoot, edit and publish high quality content for social media, digital and offline advertising that attracts, nurtures, and engages current and future guests.
  • Manage all social media platforms (currently Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) with the support of the National Director of Marketing, ensuring content is relevant and engaging while aligning with overall business goals.
  • Maintain a content production calendar with an organized schedule to support marketing plans and work collaboratively with subject matter experts across the hotels to execute.
  • Actively monitor all channels and engage with followers in a timely manner.
  • Identify, curate, and repurpose relevant content from our guests, hotel brands, local attractions, partners, etc. to address our target audience's needs.
  • Attend and cover special events and promotions in our hotels and restaurants.
  • Identify and build relationships with key external partners we can work with to broaden our reach including influencers, local attractions, and industry/community associations.
  • Vet potential partnerships with influencers and make recommendations.
  • Assist with professional brand photoshoots as needed.
  • Analyze and report on engagement data to measure the success of our content marketing efforts.
  • Keep track of industry, news, and social trends to identify opportunities for awareness & engagement.
  • Assist with various PR-related storytelling content needs as required.
What you offer us:
The Content Marketing Specialist is a confident and outgoing storyteller with a fantastic eye and natural marketing ability who lives and breathes social.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in digital media, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on content marketing experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Experience shooting high quality videos and photos with a smartphone as well as DSLR camera.
  • Proficiency in Canva.
  • Experience with photo and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Flexibility for night and weekend work when necessary (on-site special events, etc.).
  • Must be organized and thrive managing multiple projects at once.
  • Openness to constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to be self-directed.
  • Great sense of accountability with strong execution skills.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.
Employment with Larco Hospitality will be conditional upon the successful candidate having received a verified COVID-19 vaccine series approved by Health Canada, at least 14 days prior to their start date.
