Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager as Content Manager, you will build, execute, and oversee Sekure\xe2\x80\x99s content strategy to grow brand awareness, nurture internal culture, increase organic leads and improve customer retention. You will have 4 motivated, direct reports to help you achieve this: an in-house Copywriter, an outsourced Copywriter, a Social Media Content Specialist, and a Digital Engagement Specialist -- but it will be up to you to create and cultivate the strategy that brings them all together.

As Content Manager, you will maintain an editorial calendar that ensures timely, strategic delivery of all content, drive our amplified content strategy, and oversee content production to ensure that all assets contain articulate, entertaining, valuable and engaging copy that expresses Sekure\xe2\x80\x99s brand voice. We want someone who will fully own our Content Strategy for the long term, not simply execute the vision.

Our team is responsible for a wide range of customer experiences and lead generation initiatives that have an impact on business results, such as website optimization, content marketing, email marketing, digital advertising, and sales. You will also be expected to work hand in hand with our SEO specialist to drive our content strategy to propel our organic traffic forward. Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled, and imaginative content guru who understands the value of content strategy.

This role is crucial to bring our brand to life through compelling storytelling and positioning our voice on the market. In exchange, we will emphatically support your desire to acquire new skills and be an expert in the field of Content Marketing and Digital Marketing campaigns.

This is currently a remote position with close, daily team interactions. We are a diverse, collaborative and welcoming team.

Job description

As a Content Manager with Sekure, you\xe2\x80\x99ll do more than provide value to your team; you\xe2\x80\x99ll pass that value on to our customers. Here\xe2\x80\x99s how:

  • Develop and execute the overarching content marketing strategy in line with Sekure\xe2\x80\x99s brand and growth targets.
  • Develop and implement client-specific content assets and plans with the primary goal of increasing organic traffic and conversions, then coordinate execution with content producers.
  • Develop a content plan and execute the content calendar for short- and long-term content goals.
  • Manage tasks with copywriters and ensure that our brand voice and tone is respected and well-articulated across all content assets (website, emails, blogs and social media).
  • Understand different language styles that appeal to various target markets.
  • Maintain and/or elevate a distinct and clear brand voice for Sekure through written communication and the established brand personas.
  • Produce and interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Collaborate with designers, PR, and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects to create original concepts that result in effective, compelling communication (e.g., email campaigns and landing pages).
  • Drive the PR strategy by developing and executing content plans, crafting messaging, creating content for media outreach, managing the company blog, press releases and external articles, and monitoring and analyzing content performance.
  • Manage the relationship with external partners (Freelance writers, and other agency partners).
  • Brainstorm ideas and concepts for the wording and written tone direction with the Senior Brand Manager and other members of the creative team.
  • Produce or review written content with short deadlines and quick turnaround.
  • Research written content trends in the merchant payments industry.

Career proficiencies

Applicants will be evaluated based on experience, interview and references.
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Content Manager overseeing a team of varied skill sets (i.e., copywriting, social, SEO)
  • Excellent creative skills and strong digital storyteller.

  • Experience testing and optimizing responsive landing pages and emails.
  • Experience with search engine optimization best practices.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, editing and translation skills in English (bonus points if you\xe2\x80\x99re familiar with American turns of phrase).
  • Knowledge of online marketing platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) is a must.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot and Wordpress is a plus.
  • Experience using Meltwater, BrightEdge, SEMRush, Moz, Google Analytics/Search Console or other tools to build content strategy and measure performance.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (preferably in communications, journalism, or English studies) desired but not required if your work experience and portfolio knock our socks off.
