Your role

Reporting to the Head of Scripted Programs and Feature Films, as Content Executive, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of drama and comedy series as well as feature films.

This includes the following tasks:

  • Assist in reviewing and selecting series proposals submitted by creators, external producers or distributors, based on their content, programming needs, and departmental/Radio-Canada guidelines.
  • Follow and assist progress on the selected series throughout the development and production process, by coordinating, collaborating and communicating with creators, producers, executive producers, and the relevant Radio-Canada departments.
  • Coordinate and monitor progress on the selected feature films with distributors, producers, and the relevant Radio-Canada departments.
  • Represent Radio-Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Scripted Programs and Feature Films department at various events and in your professional communications.
  • Maintain good professional relations with creators, producers, distributors, collaborators and production teams.
  • Collaborate and work as part of a team.
This is a hybrid position.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field or university degree with equivalent work experience
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years\xe2\x80\x99 TV production experience, including developing and monitoring work on drama and comedy series
  • Familiarity with the TV production industry in Quebec and other relevant markets
  • Familiarity with the feature film industry
  • Good knowledge of digital trends and industry is an asset
  • Ability to draft evaluation reports
  • Ability to follow an editorial line throughout a project\xe2\x80\x99s development and production
  • Solid interpersonal skills to establish business relationships with the various internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and under pressure on multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Ability to come up with alternative solutions to challenges or obstacles
  • A solid knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada programming, directions, and corporate culture
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (bilingualism required)
