This is a 2-year contract position.

Your role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Radio and Audio Advertising, Marketing and Media Relations, you will develop, coordinate and implement marketing communications, event and promotional plans for Radio-Canada\xe2\x80\x99s radio and audio content and projects, as well as develop and coordinate the related communications strategies and tools, ensuring consistent marketing of our radio and audio brands and platforms.

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and follow up on radio promotions production, both with designers and the audio promo producer.
  • Help develop the promo broadcast strategy for our radio stations and assist with the evaluation process for measuring the performance of implemented solutions.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement effective marketing communications plans for our radio and audio products so as to generate audience interest for both conventional and digital audio formats, and find solutions when issues arise during project execution.
  • Manage and supervise visibility initiatives and production of communications tools and promotional elements for our content and projects, ranging from briefs to scheduling, creative coordination and delivery, across Radio-Canada and partner platforms as well as in the field.
  • Develop and coordinate all types of events for our brands and products (launches, field activations, digital, radio, stunts).
  • Work with team members on marketing communications projects and with various departments to deliver effective, creative projects and to achieve the marketing objectives.
  • Draft clear briefs (both creative and tactical), ensuring they are properly understood by all parties.
  • Approach the media to promote assigned projects and programs.
  • Manage contests tied into our brands and content: oversee copywriting for the various activations (website, banners, social media); draft contest rules; obtain legal approvals; research, negotiate and manage prizes, communications and visibility; contact and follow up with winners and suppliers.
  • Make recommendations to the programming teams for expanding the reach of content and initiatives.
This is a hybrid position.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:
  • University degree in communications or a related field
  • Five (5) or more years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience, ideally in coordination of large-scale projects in the fields of content promotion, implementation of communications plans for content products and event organization (season previews, remotes)
  • Knowledge of the radio promo production process and familiarity with broadcast strategies
  • Knowledge of the audio industry as well as Radio-Canada radio and audio programming an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt flexibly to change
  • Ability to work on several projects at once (creative, strategic, technical and tactical), to tight deadlines and with multiple parties involved
  • Proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects
  • Creativity in development of promotional strategies and tactics
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively and positively with staff at all reporting levels and with the various teams
  • Excellent command of French, spoken and written (bilingualism an asset)
