Position Overview

The Content Specialist will play a pivotal role in expanding Robertson College's reach and impact within the community. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Partnerships, this individual will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with community organizations, alumni, and local employers to foster strong community ties, and support the college's strategic growth initiatives. This person requires an entrepreneurial spirit, and is a creative visionary with a passion for story telling through videography, and social media.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement

Develop and execute strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and educational institutions. Represent Robertson College at community events, workshops, and industry gatherings. Identify and pursue opportunities for collaborative partnerships that align with the college's mission and strategic goals.

Content Creation:

Plan and execute a content strategy to increase engagement and grow our followers on all social media platforms. Capture, edit and produce high quality content. Write compelling captions, create engaging reals, and craft social media posts that align with the College's brand and overall strategic goals. Implement SEO best practices and social media strategies to increase content visibility, engagement and website traffic.

Collaboration and Reporting

Foster collaborative relationships with marketing, sales, operations, workforce department/division leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to content that supports both individual division goals and college-wide initiatives. Ensure all content initiatives align with overall marketing strategies and contribute positively to the college's brand and reputation. Regularly analyze and report on content performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of content strategies and campaigns.
Use insights from data to refine content approaches, increase engagement, and meet key performance indicators for each division.

Trend Monitoring and Innovation


Stay informed of the latest trends in content marketing, digital technology, and educational advancements to keep content relevant and impactful. Introduce innovative content solutions and practices to enhance visibility and engagement across targeted audiences.


What are we looking for?Talent for developing original and creative ideas and engaging storytelling content for audiences. Proven experience and familiarity with content management systems, analytic tools and potentially graphic design or video editing tools. A background or post secondary education in marketing is an asset, but strong consideration will be to proven experience in content creation and social media presence. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly through Proficiency in CRM software (preferable SaleForce) and sales technology tools. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to improve sales performance. Commitment to excellence and a results-oriented approach Must be willing to travel to other campuses and attend events
