Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Montreal or Halifax office:
Consultant - Claims Analyst

We will count on you to:
  • Support Marsh?s claims intake-team by addressing/managing their questions and concerns
  • Support Marsh Claim Advocates as needed with reporting of claims and ongoing claims advocacy
  • Address internal broker team inquiries on claims
  • Address external client inquiries and provide support
  • Ensure timely issuance and accuracy of claims reporting and First Notice of Loss to Insurers
  • Ensure proper insurer acknowledgments are received on all claims notifications
  • Handle new employee onboarding (work space, technology, etc.)
  • Misc. internal admin (mail, invoicing, claim audits, MCIS user validation, etc.)
  • Involved in ongoing claims system enhancements and support
  • Data entry and production on existing files
What you need to have:
  • Bilingual English and French mandatory
  • Post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal & written, as well as effective time management and organizational practices.
  • Results oriented with strong client service emphasis and focus.
  • Excellent inter-personal and negotiating skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Professional maturity and proven track record of adherence to professional standards and ethics.
  • Capable of working in a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
What makes you stand out:
  • Good computer skills with proficiency in email, word processing and excellent spreadsheet software as well as working knowledge of presentation software.
  • General knowledge and/or experience with multiple lines of insurance coverage with knowledge in specialized coverage lines considered an asset.
  • Prior experience in claims is considered a strong asset.
  • Additional insurance qualifications/designations (e.g. CIP, CRM) is considered an asset.
