What you'll be doing

You'll be joining CIBC's Capital Markets Technology team. You'll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC's enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you'll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You'll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and set up flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

How you'll succeed

  • Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Leading and mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
Who you are
  • You can demonstrate experience with: 2+ years working as a Business Systems Consultant, preferably within the Financial Services industry (ideally Capital Markets) with an emphasis on stakeholder relationship management. You are proficient with SQL/Database queries and have previously supported Agile/Scrum based projects. Ideally, you have excellent documentation skills, a collaborative mindset, the flexibility to jump in to support testing as needed and thrive in a fast-paced environment. It's an asset if: You have practical experience with Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and/or supporting a Capital Markets client group. Also an asset if you have experience with Azure DevOps, Jira/Confluence, Elasticsearch, and Tableau.
