Apex Geomatics is rapidly expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Surveyor to join our Saskatchewan Operations! This position is Fly In, Fly Out (FIFO) with excellent camp accommodations provided.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage and perform various field survey tasks independently or with the aid of a Survey Assistant.
  • Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
  • Prepare and communicate daily field notes, sketches and reports according to job specifications and Apex operational procedures.
  • Effective communication and flow of information from field to office.
  • Ensure full compliance and active participation in Apex Geomatics? Health and Safety Program.
  • Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Junior Surveyors and Survey Assistants.
  • Liaise with client representatives to coordinate survey tasks, priorities and deliverables.
  • As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent amount of related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Trimble RTK, Robotic Total Stations and related software.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Centre are considered an asset.
  • Line locating and UAV experience would also be considered an asset.
  • Technical competence and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver?s License and clean Driver?s Abstract.
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015.
  • This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-assess drug and alcohol screening.
