BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH US Reporting to the Operations Manager and Project Manager(s), this position will be responsible for performing field survey work on projects in Civil Construction: ?Oil & Gas, Residential, Commercial and industrial sectors performing layout and as-builds as per engineering drawing requirements as well as quantity reconciliation and reporting. Exciting Career Progression Paths Making a difference in our communities HOW YOU\'LL CONTRIBUTE (RESPONSIBILITIES) Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards Manage and perform field survey work Liaise with Construction Management to coordinate field survey work and to review and manage project timeline requirements, priorities, and survey methodology Prepare and communicate field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data in required formats Set site control, benchmarks, civil construction layout, underground utility layout, as builds and quantity reconciliation Contribute to the development and implementation of industry best practices, efficient field processes and procedures, and the innovative use of new technology Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings May perform other duties as assigned DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? (REQUIREMENTS) Ideally a graduate of a recognized post-secondary program related to Surveying and Geomatics and/or have equivalent training and experience in the Construction Survey Industry 5+ years of experience in a survey role Strong working knowledge of survey equipment and software such as GPS and GPS heavy equipment programs and software High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to produce accurate and legible field notes Superior time management skills and multitasking skills with a strong sense of urgency under minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills in a field environment An aptitude for delivering projects on time.
