Apex Geomatics has expanded yet again and are seeking multiple experienced Construction Surveyors to join our project in beautiful Kitimat, BC. This is a FIFO position with excellent camp accommodations and the opportunity to join an exceptional team.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform various field survey tasks independently or with the aid of a Survey Assistant.
• Effectively communicate with the client, supervision, drafters and our support staff.
• Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
• Prepare and communicate daily field notes, sketches and reports according to job specifications and Apex operational procedures.
• Ensure full compliance and active participation in Apex Geomatics\xe2\x80\x99 Health and Safety Program.
• Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
• Provide mentorship and training to Junior Surveyors and Survey Assistants.
• Liaise with client representatives to coordinate survey tasks, priorities and deliverables.
• As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent amount of related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficient use and knowledge of Trimble RTK, Robotic Total Stations and related software.

• Technical competence and a strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
• Valid Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and clean Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Abstract.
• CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015.
• Line locating experience would be considered an asset.
• Experience with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Centre are also considered an asset.
• This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-assess drug and alcohol screening.
