We are currently seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent (Civil) based out our projects located in Alberta and Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, monitoring the progress of the Construction Workers in the team, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
You will use your expertise to:
A Construction Superintendent (Civil) is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient completion of a construction project. Their primary duties and responsibilities generally include:

  • Preparing expense reports outlining cost estimates for suppliers, material, labour and other related costs.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, clients and other management personnel when determining budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinating deliveries of material and equipment with suppliers and vendors
  • Creating schedules for workers and subcontractors.
  • Maintaining a daily log of construction site operations and identifying any gaps or areas that need to be addressed.
  • Implementing techniques and strategies that are both efficient and cost-effective.

We would like to review your application if you have the following minimum qualifications:
  • 5 plus years EPC environment experience.
  • Experience with renewable, solar construction considered a asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, provincial, and federal construction regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management considered an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of budgeting best practices in construction projects.
  • Understanding of construction equipment use, maintenance, and operation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Time management and delegation skills.

Where you will be working, your work schedule, and other important information: The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on the business needs. You are expected to travel across Canada (Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Nova Scotia), the US (primarily Mid-West, North-East and secondary South-West) as required for up to 50% of your time as a senior corporate resource and representative of the Company to support your responsibilities and activities as well as any other specific request from your manager. International travel will be discussed with and approved by your manager.
