Construction Safety Officer (CSO) - Multi-Residential Projects

Kelowna, BC (On the Road in Kelowna)

Compensation:

$22-$25/hour

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused

Construction Safety Officer (CSO)

to support multi-family residential construction projects across Edmonton. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Alberta's OHS regulations, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to on-site safety leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations Lead and participate in toolbox talks and site safety meetings Deliver orientations to new workers and visitors Identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions on-site Monitor and support adherence to safety programs and practices Evaluate and implement health and safety strategies Maintain detailed documentation and reporting

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience as a CSO, preferably in multi-residential or multi-family projects Valid First Aid certification (required) NCSO certification is an asset Strong knowledge of Alberta OHS regulations Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems Reliable transportation and ability to commute to various job sites
