CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

( Permanent full time)- Steel Erection and Misc Metals Installation

SUMMIT STEEL FABRICATOR INC

, located in Moncton, NB. is an established supplier and erector of steel structures, decking and miscellaneous metals in the Maritimes.

Position Responsibilities:

- Supervise employees, delegate tasks ,meeting work schedule

- Meet quality and conformity to specifications

- Maintains a safe and neat work environment . safety tool box meeting and compliance

- Maintain employee relations and evaluate performance

- Report on time and work accurately

- Use measuring tools (tape measure, levels, lasers, transit) to take/verify field measurements and elevations.

- Keep track , in good function and operate power tools and mobile equipment

- Other job duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies:

- Leadership, coaching and supervisory skills

- Professionalism, integrity, and customer focus

- Above average math, reading and writing, and verbal communication skills

- High level of decision making, problem solving, and trouble-shooting , meet deadlines

- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment

- Ability to work at heights

- Fluency in French and English would be an asset

Experience in steel industry not a requirement but an asset. We are looking for someone with high Foreman leading and planning abilities. Aptitude, Attitude and good overall planning and time managements skills. Experience in this type of role is our main focus for this position.

Compensation Package:

Salary range from 34.00 to 36.00 $/hr, 44 hrs week RRSP/DSP pension plan, 100% employer contribution, approx. 15% Dental/Medical/Disability plan Travel time paid for work outside of town
