Role and Objectives:
Join our growing team and be part of the next generation of modular building projects. As a Construction Electrician with Kalesnikoff, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality residential and commercial units built in our modular facility. You will install, test, and support electrical systems that ensure each project meets code, safety standards, and customer expectations.
In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with a team of skilled tradespeople, support efficient production processes, and contribute to the continued advancement of our modular building methods. Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation and Maintenance
Install, connect, and test electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, panels, and circuit breakers in modular, residential, and commercial applications.
Plan and lay out electrical installations according to drawings, specifications, and the BC Electrical Code.
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems and components.
Verify continuity, insulation resistance, and functionality of circuits using appropriate testing equipment.
Ensure all electrical systems meet Technical Safety BC regulations and quality standards.
Leadership and Coordination
Lead and mentor electrical team members, including support technicians and general labourers.
Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code.
Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and support skill development within the electrical team.
Collaborate with other trades, supervisors, and project managers to coordinate installation schedules and resolve technical issues.
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes to plans or layouts.
Complete required inspections, documentation, and reports in compliance with Technical Safety BC requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the refinement of modular electrical installation procedures.
Safety and Quality Assurance
Adhere to all WorkSafeBC safety protocols, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans.
Conduct pre-task hazard assessments and ensure all team members follow safe work practices.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
Report hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
Education:
Red Seal Construction Electrician or a registered apprentice in the Construction Electrician trade
Experience:
5 - 7 years of experience in residential or commercial electrical work is required.
Skills & Knowledge
Familiarity with BC Electrical Code, safety standards, and permit procedures
Proficient in using hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders/scaffolding, and in confined spaces
Valid Class 5 Driver's License may be required depending on site mobility
Compensation Package:
Salary: $34.51 - $38.11 (Dependent on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
