We are looking for those ideally with direct experience using concrete diesel or electric self-propelled walk-behind slab/flat saws in concrete or other transferable industries, BUT if you come from any previous construction, mechanical, or heavy equipment operating experience, you are ENCOURAGED to apply.

Under the direction of a Superintendent or Foreman/Lead, you will operate various cutting and coring equipment to complete designated jobs to project specifications in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Operate a variety of concrete-cutting equipment. This will include various sizes of walk-behind flat/slab saws, both diesel & electric powered, in addition to gas-powered, 120-480V electric, & hydraulic hand saws, ring saws, & chain saws in both concrete & asphalt applications

Operation of different-sized electric & hydraulic coring drill assemblies & bits in a variety of environments, positions, & circumstances Operate a truck & trailer, cube van, cargo van, or truck as required with confidence throughout city, rural, commercial, and industrial environments to get to & from our shop to your designated work sites. Daily equipment cleaning, routine preventative maintenance, & basic equipment repair Inspection, documentation & reporting of all used equipment Ability to direct labourers as necessary, part of a 2-3 man cutting crew to ensure safe, efficient, & clean cutting processes.

Qualifications and Certification:

Must have a valid class 5 Non-GDL driver's license & clean 3-year driver abstract

Minimum of 2+ years experience in concrete cutting in various environments but primarily direct operation experience on large diesel or electric walk-behind flat/slab saws Those with experience operating core drills are preferred as this is a common work dynamic of this role when cutting is not required CSTS-2020, WHMIS (Free certifications) Must possess a strong ability to adapt to different working conditions & equipment, as the nature of this position is very dynamic

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Experience:

Operation on large diesel/electric walk-behind flat/slab saw: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Non-GDL AB Driver's License or Equivalent (required)
