Overview

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Former & Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate must and will possess a strong understanding of concrete forming and finishing techniques and be able to work effectively and efficiently. This role involves working with concrete to create smooth, patterned and exposed durable surfaces and requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning, leveling, and setting forms. Mix, pour, and finish concrete to specifications. Utilize power tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and finishing concrete surfaces. Apply caulking and sealants as necessary to ensure durability and weather resistance. Restore and renovate existing concrete structures as needed. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements. Perform heavy lifting tasks associated with moving materials and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in concrete finishing is a must. Knowledge in foundations including footings, walls and grade beams is asset. Minimum 5 years experience. No exceptions. Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina for heavy lifting. Must have

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
