Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects including restoration, renovation, and new construction, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades and utilize a variety of tools and techniques to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Duties

Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes. Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for concrete pouring. Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning materials. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects. Perform masonry work, including caulking, flooring installation, and restoration tasks as needed. Use carpentry skills for framing, form building, and other structural components related to concrete work. Apply welding techniques when necessary for structural reinforcement or repairs. Maintain safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines. Assist with demolition or renovation projects by utilizing masonry, concrete forming, and other construction skills. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields. Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skills in rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, flooring installation, and welding are highly desirable. Knowledge of restoration and renovation processes within the construction industry. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Prior experience with blueprint reading and schematics is preferred. Certification or training in construction safety is a plus but not required.
