Description

Barber Collins security is looking for a part time Security Guard to work one week day and one weekend day at a client facility doing concierge type work along with other tasks as directed.

Those who have access to their own personal vehicle will be preferred.

Shifts:

Friday and Saturday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm

16 hours per week Morning shift

Responsibilities:

Responsible for any inbound/outbound mail reception/tracking. Greet any customers, clients, guests, etc. at the front entrance and provide access control as required. Conduct regular checks that occur weekly and monthly regarding the building security and equipment. Perform regular foot patrols. Manage any building incident management and escalation. Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Perform concierge type duties. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Access control for the facility/area. Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.
