This job contains supervisorial responsibilities of direct reports and hourly event staff ranging from 12- 200+.
Summary
The expectation of this position is that the employee performs their duties and responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner. Furthermore, the expectation is to perform these duties while working as a part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the overall operation of concessions, bars, portables and specialty stations in the stadium, and work closely with the concession team.
Oversee the setup; ensure cleanliness and organization of all portables and concessions for each event.
Co-ordinate with third party vendors and sponsors.
Produce inventory sheets for concessions and assists in tracking inventory for all work areas as assigned; on an event and monthly basis.
Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner in person, by email or by phone.
May be required to replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
Must be able to effectively communicate with managers and co-workers to effectively accomplish goals, and ensure compliance with company service standards, and inventory
Schedule concession staff according to needs, budget and declining balance. Collect staff availability. Email Monthly schedules.
Review attendances use progressive disciplinary action. Act as main point of contact and liaison for all concession staff. Answer emails and phone calls.
Serve as liaison between HR/Payroll and staff to help resolve issues in a timely manner.
Review time cards for payroll daily.
Divide and redistribute all debit and credit tips received according to the tip policy.
Assist with developing par levels accounting for sales mix and history.
Assist with balancing and consolidating sales on various point of sales systems.
Assist accounting department in correcting void errors, while coaching supervisors, team leads, and cashiers on reducing error rates and inefficiencies.
Assist the Beverage Manager in developing floor plans for portables to accommodate special events and concerts.
Assist with training for supervisors and all concession staff for set up and event days.
Lead pre shift meetings for supervisors on prep and event days. Outline goals and expectations for all supervisors on set up and operation of concessions on a daily basis.
Participate in pre-game stand-up meeting, operations or production meetings?as required.
Ensure all signage for portables and concessions is up to date and pricing is correct.
Ensure placement of stanchions, condiment cart set-up, and verifies that concessions are stocked.
Inform staff of any new policies or procedures; enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Enforce progressive disciplinary action when needed.
Co-ordinate and direct supervisors on the completion of various tasks. Walk the floor and assist Supervisors and Team Leads as needed.
Possible added recruitment responsibilities periodically: including attending large scale job fairs to promote the department, conducting interviews, making hiring decisions, and training new staff.
Assist Concession Beverage Manager with office work.
May involve assisting in or leading special projects as delegated by the Director of Operations or the Director of concessions.
Update POS Employee Files as needed and provide unique login info to each employee.
May involve assisting with set up for Concessions and Bars prior to an event.
Physical Demands
Frequent periods of standing are required; employees are encouraged to stretch as needed.
May have the occasional requirement to lift or carry items. Proper lifting technique is a must.
Stadium is an outdoor venue and is subject to changing environmental conditions. Dressing appropriately and being prepared for changes in the environmental conditions is an expectation.
Frequent use of stairs is required; elevator accessibility is limited to accommodating clients and staff with mobility and accessibility needs.
Stadium environment is a larger site, and tends to involve higher physical demands on event days.
Sensory Attention: this environment is a noisy loud environment on event days.

This position involves working in a unique environment. This is an event based venue and has characteristics that are inherent to an event based industry. We are licensed to carry and serve alcohol, and this is a very large part of our business. The majority of the positions we hire, come into contact with alcohol. This is not only an event based work environment; but is also a sports stadium, and as such is subject to crowds, lots of noise, and intoxicated guests. English is the working language at this job location. Candidate must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
French is considered an asset; but is not mandatory.
Qualifications
2 to 3 years of Food & Beverage experience required
2 years of managerial experience required
Experience scheduling staff based on operational needs.
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts.
Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
Must be able to demonstrate mathematical skills
Must be able to demonstrate Excel skills
Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate
