AlphaPrime Financial Services Inc. is hiring for a Compliance Officer!
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Officer will have responsibilities to help ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and management of regulatory risk for AlphaPrime. We are looking for someone who can manage increasingly complex rules and regulations and develop and implement effective compliance activities to mitigate risk.
Broad based accountabilities/exposure for the right candidate include: Regulatory Compliance Management, Market Conduct, Privacy, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing, Licensing Inquiries, Complaints, and Compliance Training Oversight.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with the development and implementation of an effective, flexible, risk-based compliance program.
Responsible for executing the compliance risk-based monitoring/testing program to ensure effective compliance controls are in place for business processes and initiatives.
Identify, assess, and escalate risks to the Chief Compliance Officer and management as necessary, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
Develop effective compliance training programs to ensure consistent application and understanding of compliance policies.
Devise and implement policies and procedures to help mitigate compliance risk.
Assess new laws and regulations and their applicability and implementation to the Company's operations in the jurisdiction in order to ensure that all Compliance risks are identified and managed.
What are the minimum requirements needed for this position?
5+ years of compliance and/or insurance services experience is required
Prior expertise with agent licensing, provincial regulations, and compliant sales practices is regarded as highly beneficial
Familiarity with PIPEDA, FINTRAC, CISRO/ CCIR and CLHIA Guidelines.
Capable of handling challenging circumstances with a cordial and open mindset
Solutions oriented, with outstanding analytical abilities and strong time-management abilities.
What other skills or experience would be useful in this role?
Strong preference will be given to candidates that are fluent in the Chinese language.
Working knowledge of life and health insurance processes.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
