We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time position as a Community Support Coordinator at our head office in Dieppe. The position reports directly to the Community Resource Manager.



You are a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills. You have a passion for helping people and an interest in the field of mental health. You like working in a team setting and being the interface between our organization and clients living in our shared accommodations and independent apartments. You take pride in your work and see challenges as opportunities to create solutions. You are professional and friendly.

Key Responsibilities



Providing support & guidance to residents in independent living accommodations based on their individual needs Overseeing day-to-day operations of shared housing and independent apartments and conducting monthly occupational health and safety inspections Conducting regular wellness check ins & house visits Ensuring residents are attending to their medical, dental, and mental health appointments Planning and promoting recreational activities Establishing links with partners in the community that provide services & programs for ARA residents Collecting monthly rent and overseeing compliance with rental agreements Maintaining regular contact with family members of residents where applicable and/or needed Resolving conflicts, handling complaints, and settling disputes Providing orientation to new residents Maintaining detailed records of activities in support of the ARA community Carrying out other duties as assigned

Requirements



Certified Human Service Counsellor or equivalent with a combination of education and work experience within the mental health field. Experience performing similar duties in the field of mental health is considered an asset. Fluently bilingual (English and French) - considered an asset. Class 5 Driver's license, vehicle and willingness to transport clients occasionally.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.37 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
