Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dynamic

Community Relations Manager

to join our senior living community team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the move-in and move-out process, fostering positive relationships with residents and their families, and driving marketing and sales initiatives to maintain occupancy levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior living or healthcare, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and care.

Key Responsibilities:



Move-In/Move-Out Coordination



Serve as the primary point of contact for new residents and their families throughout the move-in and move-out processes. Coordinate logistics, paperwork, room readiness, and welcome protocols to ensure a smooth transition. Work with internal departments (nursing, maintenance, dining, housekeeping) to prepare for new arrivals or departures. Conduct exit interviews and manage feedback to improve the resident experience.

Community Relations & Resident Engagement



Build strong relationships with residents, families, and the local community. Address resident and family concerns with empathy and efficiency. Represent the community at outreach events and maintain a positive public image.

Marketing & Sales



Develops and implements an external communications and marketing strategy that increases CVF engagement with the communities of Medicine Hat, Redcliff, and Cypress County. Conduct tours for prospective residents and their families, effectively presenting the benefits of the community. Leads CVF efforts to improve community relations, increasing public awareness and supporting a positive reputation in the wider community. Achieve occupancy goals through strategic sales efforts and relationship-building.

Maintains a professional and positive manner even under changing or uncertain conditions. Works well with a wide range of individuals to provide support, coaching, encouragement and direction. Engages others in order to accomplish organizational goals and strategies. Champions the organization both internally and externally, models exceptional behavior.

Expresses and transmits information with consistency and clarity, using active listening techniques in order to effectively understand provided feedback, summarizes information according to the audience in order to promote engagement and increase understanding. Strategically communicates for maximum results.

Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitments. Follows organizational guidelines, professional standards, regulations and principles. Demonstrates reliability and integrity on a daily basis. Evaluates and responds to complex requirements that support the organizational direction.

Planning and Organizing -

Accurately estimates duration and level of difficulty of tasks and projects, setting out goals and objectives and work plans to complete. Develops and oversees multiple plans for internal groups and teams, anticipates risks and takes appropriate steps.

Decision Making -

Makes concrete, well-informed and thought out decisions that support the overall organization. Has the ability to make quick effective decisions even when data and details are limited. When making unfavorable decisions that might have negative consequences will examine the impacts and potential implications to ensure that decision is valid for the situation. Makes decisions on the fly or in the face of missing information that supports the organization even if it may be perceived as unfavorable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
