Community Peace Officer
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is seeking dedicated and professional Community Peace Officers to join our regional enforcement team.
As a Community Peace Officer, you'll be on the front lines of municipal enforcement-promoting traffic safety, animal protection, reducing crime in partnership with the RCMP, and enforcing local bylaws. Your role is essential in building community trust and enhancing public safety throughout Fort McMurray and surrounding rural areas.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, the Community Peace Officer ensures compliance with all municipal bylaws, provincial acts, and legislation. Community Peace Officers carry out an extensive range of investigation and enforcement requirements and functions. The incumbent will answer enquiries, initiate investigations, and finalize complaints.
