Our new Canadian Clean Energy Program, co-sponsored by the Government of Canada and Energy Safety Canada is designed to help professionals across Canada land meaningful employment in the energy sector. THE ROLE This exciting new role will be responsible for building strategic relationships and partnerships with clean energy associations, organizations and employers primarily focused on the Ontario and Maritimes markets. The role will also involve recruiting panelists for Higher Landing\xe2\x80\x99s renowned \xe2\x80\x9cGrizzly Den\xe2\x80\x9d. As a key member of the business development unit, you will join a growing team dedicated to helping all levels of workers advance in, and pivot their careers to the clean energy and other growing industries. In addition to base salary, this role offers bonus and commission. If you are skilled at building solid, strategic relationships with multiple stakeholders at the senior leadership level and are excited by the challenge of expanding Higher Landing\xe2\x80\x99s network across the eastern provinces to help Canadians get back to work or pivot their careers, we would like to speak to you! The ideal candidate will be a people person, great listener, strategic thinker and driven by the desire to help others. You have a desire to tie sales to social impact, have experience supporting a small, growing business, possess a strong sense of urgency, technical aptitude and ability to work independently. Several years of business development or strategic relationship building experience combined with exceptional verbal and written English skills are essential. A successful track record of meeting performance targets in the professional services sector and a solid network of relationships in eastern Canada\xe2\x80\x99s energy industry are definite assets KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Developing relationships with management and executives in small to mid-sized organizations
  • Developing a database of clean energy and other industry decision makers, influencers, corporations and associations in eastern Canada
  • Developing sustainable relationships with clean energy stakeholders focusing on Eastern Canada
  • Soliciting management and executive level volunteers from the energy sector to participate as Grizzly Den panelists, willing to help individuals transitioning their careers to the clean energy and other growing industries
  • Maintaining and increasing Higher Landing\xe2\x80\x99s program awareness in Eastern Canada
  • Helping attract candidates to participate in Higher Landing programs
  • Acquiring new customers and increasing Higher Landing\xe2\x80\x99s customer portfolio
  • Maintaining relationships and increasing sales and Grizzly relationships with existing customers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 5 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years in a business development or strategic relationship building role
  • Proven track record of building a customer portfolio of relationships with senior level leaders in small to midsized organizations in Eastern Canada
  • Experience working in a small, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment under tight deadlines
  • Proven track record in developing sales pipelines, customer relationships and meeting performance targets \xe2\x80\x93 ideally in the clean energy and/or professional services industry
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, business, communications, or a combination of education and/or work experience
  • Compelling and clear communicator in multiple settings: one-on-one pitching, remote digital communication, and public speaking
  • Strong interpersonal, listening and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate program content to the C-suite
  • Skilled with using digital tools such as Teams, Zoom, CRMs and MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written English skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Benefits:
