Program Information
Community LINKS Information, Referrals & Intakes collaborates with multiple independent programs, organizations, and services in Lethbridge in order to create a coordinated system to serve citizens more efficiently. The program endeavours to keep information on local resources up to date and available to the community while actively working to connect individuals to appropriate services.
Community LINKS works within and supports the work of the Lethbridge Integrated Coordinated Access (ICA) System. The Lethbridge ICA system is designed to serve individuals needs and system navigation needs across diverse service providers in government, non-profit, voluntary, and private sectors ranging from social and wellbeing supports to housing supports and counselling.

Starting Wage:
$22.00-$25.00 (dependent on experience and education)
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
answer incoming calls and respond to electronic inquiries for service and direct them to the appropriate resources either within the team or the community
complete pre-screen assessments to determine referral pathways
utilize databases, to gather/enter client information and data for reports and assignments
divide incoming work by priority level and according to established triage scales so the highest priorities are handled first
communicate work requirements to the appropriate team
maintain documentation of all incoming requests and reconcile these against work assigned and completed
Information Systems Duties
o Update and maintain information on local service providers, updating resources and materials including the Getting Connected booklet, Resource Cards, and other print and digital materials as required
o Work alongside other staff members at CMHA, ASR to develop, update and maintain publicly accessible information on the Lethbridge ICA website including:
o Priority Population Information
o Referral Pathways
o Calendar of Events
o Weekly Rental Listings
o Stabilization Funds
o Counselling Subsidies
o Compile and distribute the weekly rental listings for agencies within the community
o Provide information to public on resources available through though the Lethbridge ICA and direct inquiries to appropriate services internally and externally
o Works alongside the CMHA Communications Team to ensure that Community LINKS and the Lethbridge ICA have a presence at local events
o Other duties as required by the changing needs of the program and persons served
Individuals Served
o Individuals who require assistance with system navigation or accessing resources, this may be as a result of but not limited to: substance use, relationship breakdown, in transition, mental health issues, chronic medical issues, etc.
o Individuals who display a willingness to participate in the program
o Individuals who would benefit from information, service referrals, system navigation, case management and follow up
Non-Client Work
o Meetings with Supervisor as scheduled
o Team Meetings as scheduled
o Case Conferences as required
o Participation in community meetings as assigned
o Community Events as assigned
o Training as required per CMHA Policies

Knowledge of Community Practice, Assertive Engagement Strategies, Crisis Intervention Techniques, and Recovery Model
Training and adherence to CMHA Policy and Procedures & in-house trainings
Use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365 email
Knowledge of graphic and web design programs such as Canva and SquareSpace
Education & Experience
Completed post-secondary education from an accredited college or university with major course work in a related field
OR a combination of relevant education & experience
Conditions of Employment
Current First Aid CPR
Current and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (Less than 6 months old)
Current Youth Intervention Check (Less than 6 months old)
Possession of or ability to obtain Driver's License valid in Alberta
Must own or have access to reliable vehicle
