Salary, Allowances, and Benefits




In addition to salary, you are entitled to an isolated posts allowance. This can range from $17,995 to $26,105 per year, depending on if you have a dependent and the geographic location. You are also entitled to vacation travel allowance of approximately $1,000 once a year for you and each eligible dependent.



As a federal government employee, you will also receive a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan and health, dental and group insurance.




Workplace and Telework




Employees must perform their duties from a government of Canada physical workplace at least 2-3 days each week, or 40-60% of their regular schedule. The workplace of the positions to be filled is located in Yellowknife, NT. Successful candidates will be required to work at the work site, either full-time or in a hybrid work mode. A part-time telework agreement may be discussed and implemented at the time of hiring in accordance with the operational needs of the position to be filled.

Intent of the process

We are looking to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar or identical positions, within CIRNAC (various tenures, language requirements, and/or security clearance, all which may vary according to the position being staffed).

EDUCATION:

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Degree equivalency


EXPERIENCE:

Experience administering financial procedures related to budget planning, proposal review, funding, reporting and tracking. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite to draft letters, presentation materials and tracking spreadsheets. Experience supporting engagement and/or consultation activities.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with Indigenous governments and organizations in the Northwest Territories. Experience working on environmental projects.
