Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the best possible care in their homes or community settings.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Administer medications according to prescribed schedules. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors. Follow care plans tailored to individual client needs, including those with dementia or disabilities.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of caregiving practices and patient care techniques. Familiarity with medication administration protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus but not mandatory. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
