As a member of the Edmonton Communities team, the Community Ambassador is a brand steward and a storyteller to deliver up-to-date information on all things related to our residential communities. The Community Ambassador is our point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing consistently high levels of customer experience to all guests who visit the Show Home Village. The Community Ambassador will perform day-to-day duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times and ensure that the guest has an enjoyable experience.

Hours of Work:
This position is a casual, part time role working up to 34 hours per week. This position offers flexible work hours, training and career growth opportunities.

Location of Show Home Village:
The Show Home Village is located in South Edmonton.

Show Home Village Hours:
Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Thursday 2pm - 8pm
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: 12pm \xe2\x80\x93 5pm

The Community Ambassador is required to arrive 15 minutes prior to Show Home Village opening, to ensure it is ready for the public.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a brand ambassador and provide exceptional customer experience

  • Assist with developing, planning, and executing programs and events

  • Collaborate with team members and act as a community advocate

  • Monitor the flow of guests, including; greeting guests and making them feel welcome

  • Be familiar with the vision of the Community

  • Inform guests on progress, programs, and events

  • Effectively respond to inquiries and take accurate notes of any inquiries

  • Follow-up with appropriate department to assist with answering inquiries

  • Provide information to guests on the community, Residents Association (HOA), and Brookfield

  • Keep the Show Home Village in excellent condition at all times; tidy, well stocked with brochures and handouts

  • Assist with maintaining the Residents Association website and update Social Media Accounts

  • Attend all training and be an active participant in all team meetings

  • General administration duties \xe2\x80\x93 answering phone calls, emails, managing voicemail, etc.

  • Light cleaning and other duties, as assigned.



Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong customer service and trouble shooting skills, sales or customer service related experience preferred

  • Experience within the home building or real estate industry is an asset

  • Experience with event planning is an asset

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong digital marketing skills \xe2\x80\x93 update website via CMS

  • Strong social media skills \xe2\x80\x93 create, update, and engage on social platforms

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, Outlook, and Excel

  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
