We are looking to hire a

Communications Technician

to join our team, based out of our

Grande Prairie

office, for Field/SCADA Communication work throughout Alberta and British Columbia. You must be willing to travel for a week at a time to different projects throughout Alberta and British Columbia and able to climb a 100' tower or larger daily, if required.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting/repairing/installing two-way and SCADA/telemetry equipment implementation of new radio networks, while analyzing existing networks in order to understand how to make them perform better or resolve connectivity issues. Technical understanding of RF radio communications equipment Performing the installation and servicing of telecommunications equipment Tower climbing, servicing, and construction at heights Structured Cabling IP Based Camera Installation and Troubleshooting Antenna installations and alignment Configuration of telecommunication hardware Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions Excellent communication, documentation, and strong team-building skills to interact with customers and fellow team members

Job requirements:

Must be able to work from excessive heights, ranging from 30 feet to 300 feet, and a variety of weather conditions indoors and outdoors Communications Technician trade ticket is an asset Valid class 5 with a clean Drivers Abstract Valid H2S, First Aid Level C CPR & AED, CSO, CSTS, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, ATV/UTV and High Angle Rescue Tower Training
