Communications Technician

Our growing company is currently looking to hire Communications Technicians to join our team, based out of our Grande Prairie and Fort St. John office. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to be a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and looks forward to growing personally and professionally with Exile. As our Communications Technicians, you will be responsible to:

• Troubleshooting/repairing/installing two-way and SCADA/telemetry equipment
• implementation of new radio networks, while analyzing existing networks in order to understand how to make them perform better or resolve connectivity issues.
• Technical understanding of RF radio communications equipment
• Performing the installation and servicing of telecommunications equipment
• Tower climbing, servicing, and construction at heights
• Structured Cabling
• IP Based Camera Installation and Troubleshooting
• Antenna installations and alignment
• Configuration of telecommunication hardware
• Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and strong team-building skills to interact with customers and fellow team members

Qualifications Required:

• Must be able to work from excessive heights, ranging from 30 feet to 300 feet, and a variety of weather conditions indoors and outdoors
• Valid class 5 with a clean Drivers Abstract
• Current safety tickets required: H2S, First Aid Level C CPR & AED. CSO
• Aerial Work Platform
• Fall Protection
• Complete Period 1 through 4 technical training at a certified Institution or by challenging exams through AIT
