Job Description

The Communication Specialist is responsible for supporting our Marketing and Communications Team on a variety of requirements including (but not limited to): program support, internal communications, special events and customer surveys.This position is located in Scarborough, with possible travel to events in the GTAIn addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:Webinar Program Support

  • Support the existing webinar program with preparation of invitations, landing pages, delivery of emails, tracking of results, facilitation and hosting of live events, working with presenters to prepare content and rehearse. Driving the program and extending the content to other languages and markets.
Representative and Internal Communications Support
  • Support internal communications by laying out and formatting finalized memo text for emails, maintaining and updating the database of emails, prepping and delivering emails, checking for quality of text and punctuation.
Special Event and Trade Show Support
  • Support trade show preparation as needed, completing forms, arranging payments, gathering invoices.
  • Process trade show leads into lead tracking system and disseminate to the sales organization. Follow up with regional sales managers to ensure action is taken.
Customer Survey Administration and Support
  • Create and deploy surveys as needed using online tools.
  • Gather and analyze responses and prepare reports with recommendations.
Translation Project Management
  • Work with vendors to management translation projects, arranging quotes, tracking project status, following up to ensure timely completion, processing invoices, and distributing completed text to stakeholders for review and implementation.
Role Requirements:
  • University Degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years of work experience in a Marcom coordination or specialist role, supporting marketing and lead-generation programmers.
  • Proven ability to write and proof-read with great accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internal and external communications practices customer attraction and acquisition practices.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent self-leadership and time management skills.
  • Ability to break down projects to tasks and follow project plans.
  • Self-starting, team-oriented approach with a positive, energetic attitude and a bias for action.
  • Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Focused on results
  • Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations.
  • Project management training or demonstrated experience.
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $41,779.14-$75,000.00 per yearSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
