Reporting to: President and Managing DirectorLocation: Brampton, ON
5 Days On-Site in Brampton, ONGeneral Duties:The Communications Manager works closely with stakeholders to develop strategic communications that support the President and Managing Director. You will play a key role in managing and maintaining all the companies internal and external communications including digital strategy and content creation. Success in the role includes a positive, proactive approach to daily work along with strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced environment. This is a full time position.Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and implement internal and external strategic communications on behalf of the Company
  • Provide leadership and consultation in all aspects of communications to advance the companies strategic priorities
  • Leads the communications strategy planning process bringing strategic, professional communications, planning and direction to leaders
  • Gathers content from multiple sources and develops communications for leadership messages, town halls,newsletters, video and presentations
  • Identifies and liaises with the stakeholders about opportunities for communications.
  • Prepare and distribute company media content, including news releases, public statements, website and social media copy
  • Create social media and communications strategies to support the companies digital presence and set a tactical plan to deliver on objectives.
  • Work closely with President and Managing Director to support the development and deployment of communications for crises and emergencies
  • Develop and execute PR strategies, including objectives, tactics and measurements. Lead all company media and pr events
  • Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of all data.
  • Lead by example; maintain a safe, secure, enjoyable professional working environment.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take technical and complex information and break it down into key messages that make sense for the audience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in communications, public relations or a related field of study
  • Date driven decision making skills
  • Attention to details and reporting activities.
  • Event planning is an asset for this role.
  • Self-motivating with a positive attitude.
