Winpak is seeking a

Communications Intern

to join their corporate team for the summer 2025 term.



We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to assist the Manager, Corporate Communications, with marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience the various functions of marketing while working for a large, global manufacturing company. The potential intern should display a natural curiosity to learn new things and look for opportunities to enrich our communication initiatives. This will be a hybrid position, that offers flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with updating and maintaining Winpak's social media presence, including scheduling LinkedIn updates Write copies for social media posts, press releases, promotional emails, and other marketing collaterals Assist in maintaining communications calendar and proof-reading quarterly newsletters Support in the creation of written, video, and image content for various communication initiatives Assist with updating Winpak's website when needed Support marketing campaign planning and execution of new product launches Manage tradeshow calendar and assist with tradeshow planning Collaborate with staff on new ideas and channels for marketing and communications Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives Assist with various company events such as helping with the annual general meeting for the Board of Directors

Required Qualifications:

Enrolled in a degree or diploma program in a related field (e.g. Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations) Experience with photography, image and video editing, and graphic design Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) Experience proficiently using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) Ability to approach problems with creative solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous internship or related experience in Marketing or Communications Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) Understanding of search engine optimization techniques and best practices

Additional Details:

This position offers flexibility with a hybrid approach of two days remote and 3 days onsite
