Join us and design your place with Stantec.Your OpportunityStantec invites you to apply for the Co-op Student role based in our Victoria BC office.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)Attends pre-construction meetings and document discussionsReviews and reports on project mock-upsPerforms periodic site visits and utilizes a site visit reporting system to identify and update action itemsPerforms field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)Assists in small project management and coordinationAssists in building condition assessments, concrete restoration, and building enclosure-related projectsParticipates in continuing educationPerforms various office-related tasksQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsOrganizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projectsAbility to work in a team environmentStrong customer service commitmentExcellent communication and written skills in EnglishProfessional attitude with a strong commitment to succeedStrong work ethicMust have a valid driver's licenseEducation and ExperienceWorking towards Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.General knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plusTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
