Position Overview



At St. John Ambulance we are proud of the community impact and training we provide. The role of the National Office is to provide support services and national leadership to the provincial/territorial SJA organizations (Councils) across Canada.

We are looking for a skilled to join our National Office team. Reporting to the Director of Emergency Management Program, this position is responsible for coordinating, executing, monitoring, and measuring the communications efforts for the National Office with a particular focus on our Emergency Management Program.

Responsibilities



Develop and execute social media content for SJA Canada social channels to drive and increase online traffic, engagement, lead generation and visibility across all channels to support the brand, volunteer recruitment efforts, and SJA Councils Writes compelling copy for volunteer recruitment initiatives, newsletters, press releases, print ads, website content, blog posts, print assets, presentations, scripts, and grant submissions Works with external design agencies, helps manage the development of marketing collateral for volunteer recruitment campaigns, and other marketing initiatives that align with brand standards Ensures that all content meets SJA standards and brand tone and voice Communicates the status of projects regularly with the Director of Community Programs and Director, Sales & Marketing, other team members, and applicable internal stakeholders. Develop a deep understanding of the SJA brand and client base, utilizes analytics to make smart content recommendations and posting decisions Prepare, review, and write reports on volunteer recruitment campaigns and other documents as needed for the Emergency Management Program.

Effectively collaborate with other team members and Councils to manage assigned projects Be a brand leader and ambassador within the organization Liaise with external service providers, as needed Perform other duties as assigned/required to ensure the success of the EMP, as well as the sales and marketing committees

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing. Experience managing social media platforms and digital content. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Familiarity with media relations and press release writing. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms. Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset. Previous experience in event planning and stakeholder engagement is a plus.

Proficiency in social media management and analytics. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Creativity and problem-solving skills.
Salary range is commensurate with experience, including insurance benefits, company pension and three weeks' vacation. Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required depending on the work schedule.
