Job Overview:
The Communications & Events Coordinator plays a key cross-functional role at ACCA, reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing while supporting both the Communications and Events portfolios. This position helps bring our member-first philosophy to life through engaging content, well-executed events, and strong, consistent brand storytelling. The Coordinator manages daily social media activities, develops communications and marketing materials, assists in podcast and media support, and supports the planning and delivery of ACCA's events and conferences. This is a hands-on role requiring creativity, organization, and exceptional attention to detail within a fast-paced, largely remote environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and takes full ownership of their work--from accuracy in written materials to follow-through on commitments. Key Responsibilities:
Social Media
Independently manage daily operations and scheduling across all social media platforms, ensuring consistent execution and timely delivery
Execute and maintain ACCA's social media strategy in alignment with brand voice.
Track social media analytics and prepare regular reports to assess performance and engagement.
Content Development & Marketing
Develop and distribute weekly newsletters and member communications.
Draft and meticulously edit content for campaigns, emails, web, and print, ensuring brand consistency and error-free materials.
Support the production and promotion of ACCA's podcast, The Long Term Forecast.
Assist in the coordination and logistics of media events.
Design and develop communication materials consistent with ACCA branding.
Support execution of ACCA member benefit communications, including onboarding new members to the portal, adding them to mailing lists, coordinating member advertisements, and other tasks as needed.
Event & Conference Support in collaboration with the Director of Events and Planning
Contribute to and independently execute components of marketing strategies and promotional materials for events.
Independently design and quality-check event signage, presentations, and collateral for accuracy, alignment with brand standards, and professionalism.
Coordinate sponsor commitments and maintain vendor communications.
Manage event booth materials (e.g., banners, signage, swag), including storage and transportation of booth materials.
Act as a reliable on-site representative during events, anticipating needs, staying engaged, and ensuring a professional and polished execution throughout
Populate and manage Eventbrite event registration pages and monitor participant data.
Support the drafting and editing of event scripts and assist in preparing materials for speakers and presenters.
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Director of Events and Planning.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
Experience in communications, content creation, or event planning in a non-profit or healthcare setting is an asset.

Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Creative eye for design and a detail-oriented approach.
Adaptable team player who thrives in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
Strong understanding of social media marketing and email communications best practices.
Demonstrated reliability in event support and professional conduct.
Available for occasional travel and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events.
Working Conditions:
Primarily a Remote work environment with in-person attendance required at organizational events.
Must have a home work space with storage space for marketing materials.
Occasional in-person attendance for team meetings, event planning sessions, and site inspections.
Some out-of-town travel required for event supervision and coordination. Must have a personal vehicle.
Flexibility in work hours, including availability for evening and weekend events as needed.
This role requires consistent engagement, accountability, and responsiveness in a remote environment. The successful candidate must be disciplined, communicative, and capable of managing their own workload and schedule effectively.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
