*This position is open to New Graduates /Post Graduates able to work FT hours for 12 months***A preferred candidate has been identified***Posting expires on May 23 at 23:59 Eastern Time.GSK is seeking a creative, dynamic, proactive intern to work with an experienced team of Communications Professionals on GSK Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Communications Team. This is an excellent opportunity for new or recent graduates to work as part of a high-paced communications team within a regulated industry, gaining invaluable experience in the delivery of multichannel internal and external communications initiatives.What will you do?Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of internal and external communications materials for multiple channels supporting corporate and commercial product communications as well as select Community Engagement initiatives, including projects with GSK\xe2\x80\x99s global partner, Save the Children.Create communications for internal/external channels which include, but not limited to, written materials (key messages; speaking points; Power Point presentations, press releases, social media content etc.) and graphics (newsletters, posters, TV screens, infographics).Develop and execute internal and external social media plans and content to reach key audiences. Prepare and coordinate posting of material to GSK in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s external website (ca.gsk.com) as required.Manage internal communications campaigns to keep employees apprised of corporate initiatives/priorities, branding initiatives, etc.Monitoring of GSK\xe2\x80\x99s National media lines (English and French), including screening, tracking and responding to media inquiries where appropriate.Distribute daily media clippings.Support special projects & events with co-ordination, project management and content creation. Manage logistics for campaigns and events, such as room bookings, distribution lists, calendar invites etc.Champion the development of Communications team meeting agendas in consultation with team members.Liaise with Linguistics Team members to request individual translation projects and to keep them informed of larger projects with translation requirements to support appropriate resource allocation.Provide occasional support to the Linguistics Team, with a specific focus on managing linguistic requests from various internal business partners, overseeing the backend operations of translation software, and liaising with external vendors.Liaise with various internal business partners in support of internal events or communication initiatives;Work with external vendors (e.g. PR Agencies, Graphic Designers; Media Monitoring Services).Basic QualificationsWho are we looking for?University / College Degree in Communication or related field required.A team player who has a strong interest and passion for communications.An individual who is reliable, creative and resourceful in problem solving.Strengths in verbal and written communication, information search, networking, teamwork, flexible thinking, customer focus and continuous improvement.
