POSITION SUMMARY



To enhance the sustainability and community profile of Resolve Counselling Services by supporting resource and business development, internal and external communications, community outreach, and the marketing and promotion of the organization's fee for service programs. The position reports directly to the Executive Director. Hours of work will vary, and flexibility is required to fill this role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



To work closely with Resolve's Executive Director, Leadership Team and staff, to:

Raise community awareness and increase the profile of Resolve Promotion and marketing of Resolve programs and services; make recommendations related to potentials strategies or campaigns. Support Resolve's social media accounts and website; generate ongoing high-quality content Represent the Agency at community events as needed Build and support relationships with community partners and potential customers for the organization's fee-for-service counselling and Workplace Wellness consulting programs. Prepare, or support the Leadership Team with the preparation of grant applications Support fundraising activities through the creation of fundraising communications targeting donors, sponsors and volunteers. Participate in the Board Fund Development Committee as needed. Maintain the Agency's fundraising database and work to establish and maintain donor relations; Provide support to the Executive Director as required Other duties as required

JOB SPECIFICATIONS



1. EDUCATION



Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably with an emphasis on advertising, marketing/ digital marketing, communication, business, etc. French language is an asset

2. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



Experience working with design, editing, and related software Experience creating content including visual images, videos, infographics and photos to enhance written materials (including stories, articles, social media, and website content) Experience managing multiple social media platforms Experience in website development and maintenance an asset. Experience coordinating events Proven success in resource/business development in the non-profit sector an asset Demonstrated commitment to social justice, anti-poverty and anti-oppression Excellent oral, verbal, written, interpersonal, public relations and marketing skills Proven time management skills including ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks with deadlines Excellent problem-solving skills Strong planning and coordination skills Detail oriented Demonstrated knowledge of the KFLA community Superior computer skills including Windows, social media, web and mobile applications, MS Office Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently

3. LEVEL OF DIRECTION RECEIVED



Incumbent performs work as defined by internal policies and written processes and procedures.

Incumbent must comply with all pertinent legislation and associated regulations. This may include but is not limited to: PIPEDA, Occupational Health & Safety Act, AODA, Bill 168 (Violence and Harassment in the Workplace), etc.

Incumbent will report to the Executive Director.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS



Physical conditions:



Position may involve sitting and use of a keyboard, monitor, mouse and telephone. Headsets may be required on occasion.

Position may involve outreach/travel into the KFLA community. Access to a reliable vehicle required.

Some (scheduled) evening and/or weekend hours may be required.

Psychological conditions:



Secondary stress associated with numerous regular deadlines, competing priorities, and potential disruptions.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.08-$29.37 per hour

Expected hours: 17.5 per week
