Ministry of Health\xe2\x80\x99s ongoing restructuring of our provincial healthcare system. To date we are a collaborative group of 30+ partners and affiliates who are working together with patients, families, and caregivers, to enhance healthcare across the Nipissing district. We are looking to hire a team-oriented, motivated individual with a working knowledge of our healthcare system to be our Communications and Engagement
Coordinator. The successful candidate will work alongside the NW OHT Executive Lead and our NW OHT Patient, Family and Caregiver Council, and Collaboration Council and play a key role in supporting internal and external communications, as well as supporting planning and implementation of community engagement. Responsibilities: \xe2\x97\x8f Update and operationalize NW OHT 24-25 communication plan
\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure accurate and comprehensive web content to engage and inform our stakeholders
\xe2\x97\x8f Develop a strong online presence by maintaining the NW OHT website and creating a social media presence
\xe2\x97\x8f Plan, organize, and implement internal and external communication plans and activities. This includes researching, writing, and editing content for materials such as quarterly newsletters, external press releases, press conferences, in- house publications, project reports, audio-visual, etc. \xe2\x97\x8f Be the direct contact for all media related inquiries and facilitate interviews with the appropriate spokesperson(s). \xe2\x97\x8f Work with PFCC and NWOHT Collaboration Council to co-design and launch community engagement strategy \xe2\x97\x8f Engage with NWOHT partner organization communications leads to ensure co- ordinated and integrated approach to communication and community engagement \xe2\x97\x8f Partner with NWOHT working groups to create and deploy integrated communications campaigns that meet NWOHT goals and objectives \xe2\x97\x8f Monitor and report on progress
\xe2\x97\x8f Lead development of influential engagement for various target audiences and stakeholders including briefing notes, presentations, speaking notes, key messages, updates, and external newsletters \xe2\x97\x8f Support the organization and execution of town hall style meetings, and other community engagement events, to engage the public and regional partners in the work of the NW OHT \xe2\x97\x8f Embed in all NWOHT work the shared vision, values and guiding principles including principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion. \xe2\x97\x8f Organize and oversee logistics for events
\xe2\x97\x8f Work in close collaboration with NW OHT Executive
\xe2\x97\x8f Other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Education: \xe2\x97\x8f Undergraduate Degree in communications/public relations, English, journalism, marketing, public health, healthcare administration, or equivalent experience. Experience: A minimum of 5 years working in public relations or communications, preferably within the health and social services sectors. Job Specific Competencies: \xe2\x97\x8f Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both official languages, including the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy with diverse groups of stakeholders, including patients, front-line healthcare providers, community agencies, and healthcare administrators. \xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, engaging and grammatically correct content targeted to different audiences. \xe2\x97\x8f The ability to multitask and set priorities, managing time effectively.

Experience living within the Nipissing region and awareness of communities that make up NWOHT Physical Environment & Working Conditions: This position is mostly of a sedentary nature and requires long periods working on a computer. There are periods of stress when having to meet tight deadlines. The work environment is currently virtual (subject to change). We do anticipate on site meetings will occur and we will request that staff attend these scheduled meetings in person.   • Contribuer au d\xc3\xa9veloppement d\xe2\x80\x99une forte pr\xc3\xa9sence en ligne en assurant le maintien du site Web de l\xe2\x80\x99ESOBEN et en cr\xc3\xa9ant une pr\xc3\xa9sence sur les m\xc3\xa9dias sociaux.
  • Planifier, organiser et mettre en \xc5\x93uvre les plans et activit\xc3\xa9s de communication interne et externe, notamment par la recherche, la r\xc3\xa9daction et la r\xc3\xa9vision de documents tels que les bulletins trimestriels, les communiqu\xc3\xa9s de presse externes, les conf\xc3\xa9rences de presse, les publications internes, les rapports de projet, le mat\xc3\xa9riel audiovisuel, etc.

  • Interagir avec les responsables des communications des organisations partenaires de l\'ESOBEN pour assurer une approche coordonn\xc3\xa9e et int\xc3\xa9gr\xc3\xa9e en mati\xc3\xa8re de communication et d\xe2\x80\x99engagement communautaire.
  • Collaborer avec les groupes de travail de l\xe2\x80\x99ESOBEN pour cr\xc3\xa9er et d\xc3\xa9ployer des campagnes de communication int\xc3\xa9gr\xc3\xa9es qui cadrent avec les objectifs de l\'ESOBEN.
  • Faire le suivi et rendre compte des progr\xc3\xa8s r\xc3\xa9alis\xc3\xa9s.
  • Diriger le d\xc3\xa9veloppement en vue de mobiliser et d\xe2\x80\x99influencer divers publics cibles et intervenants, ce qui comprend notamment la pr\xc3\xa9paration de notes de synth\xc3\xa8se, de pr\xc3\xa9sentations, de notes d\xe2\x80\x99allocution, de messages cl\xc3\xa9s, de mises \xc3\xa0 jour et de bulletins externes.
  • Appuyer l\xe2\x80\x99organisation et l\xe2\x80\x99ex\xc3\xa9cution des r\xc3\xa9unions de type assembl\xc3\xa9e publique et d\xe2\x80\x99autres \xc3\xa9v\xc3\xa9nements d\xe2\x80\x99engagement communautaire afin de mobiliser le public et les partenaires r\xc3\xa9gionaux \xc3\xa0 travailler avec l\'ESOBEN.

  • Baccalaur\xc3\xa9at en communications/relations publiques, \xc3\xa9tudes anglaises, journalisme, marketing, sant\xc3\xa9 publique, administration du syst\xc3\xa8me de sant\xc3\xa9, ou exp\xc3\xa9rience \xc3\xa9quivalente.
EXP\xc3\x89RIENCE :
  • Au moins cinq ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience dans le domaine des relations publiques ou des communications, de pr\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9rence dans les secteurs des soins de sant\xc3\xa9 et des services sociaux.
