At CEED, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Communications & Engagement coordinator who is not just looking for a job, but a career path that leads to managerial opportunities. The Communication and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting entrepreneurship programs and communications across the organization and in our community. This position will work closely with the Senior Manager - Communications and Engagement to enhance our marketing and communications strategies and expand our project engagement efforts in Atlantic Canada.
Within this role, there will be a wide range of efforts and campaigns including internal communications, external communications, event management, supervision of co-op students, facilitation of the mentorship program, and our online community of entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a collaborative spirit, and a drive to take initiative beyond the day-to-day responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Senior Manager to develop and implement comprehensive marketing and engagement strategies
Execute and facilitate effective overall internal and external communications (i.e, social media marketing, blogs and resources, press releases, email marketing and e-newsletters)
Assist in developing and designing promotional materials and campaigns to support overall marketing strategies
Lead generation and business development activities such as emailing, prospecting, and handling email management systems such as Mail Chimp; and project management systems such as Microsoft planner, Enzebra (CRM) and Wordpress
Assist in monitoring active online marketing programs and developing ways to improve campaigns across social media platforms and marketing channels
Conduct questionnaires with clients, partners and prospective businesses to help business development
Leverage, highlight, and celebrate the accomplishments of projects and its clients in innovative ways
Coordinate event logistics including communication support
Update databases and track projects and media exposure
Support onboarding & management of business co-op students
Point of contact for Elevate Mentorship program (onboard mentors/mentees, streamline processes, conduct check-ins, collect feedback)
Develop and execute innovative techniques to increase member participation and satisfaction.
Regularly interact with community members, gather feedback, and adjust strategies to enhance user experience
Qualifications
A proven ability and desire to use public relations to create new connections and build existing relationships
Highly developed oral and written communication skills as well as computer literacy
Understanding of digital marketing strategies and social media management
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with design software (Canva) considered an asset
Experience and/or education in the areas of facilitating, business and/or entrepreneurship
An understanding of learning styles and their impact on participants' ability to participate
English/French bilingualism is an asset but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Keen interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and communications

This is a full-time position offering a competitive benefits package and RRSP matching. A typical workweek is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
