THE ROLE:
As a Communications and Engagement Advisor, you will be a pivotal part of our company\'s success by fostering a strong sense of community, engagement, and pride among our staff. You will create effective communication strategies and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on how to enhance staff awareness and engagement using your in-depth understanding of various aspects of the organization. You will also ensure that staff have the necessary information to excel in their roles and become ambassadors for the company, while strengthening PETRONAS Canada\'s culture and generating new opportunities for internal networking.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Develop impactful communication strategies to enhance staff awareness of PETRONAS Canada\'s business, strategy, and upstream development plan; ensuring internal messaging is consistent with our visual brand and desired culture
  • Collaborate with internal clients to understand their requirements and priorities, as well as develop and execute strategic plans that will engage staff in company initiatives and programs
  • Develop and deliver internal communications, including creating intranet content that is reflective of the company\xe2\x80\x99s tone and that is meaningful to a variety of audiences, including staff in our Calgary and Fort St. John offices, as well as at our field sites
  • Plan and execute internal events as well as community-building opportunities.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of our internal communication channels and messaging. Propose tactics and strategies that will increase audience reach, readership, and overall effectiveness
  • Stay up-to-date with the Company\'s Crisis Communication Plan and be ready to step in as needed as part of the emergency response on-call roster
  • Collaborate with PETRONAS colleagues worldwide to provide timely communication support as needed
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • A post-secondary degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in internal communication planning and content development with a track record of creating impactful communication strategies
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to craft compelling stories
  • Knowledge of Canadian Press style
  • Proficiency with content management systems, including experience with creating, editing, and publishing content
  • Graphic design and web development skills are considered an asset
  • A proven track record of innovative thinking and demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Proven expertise in organization and time management, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in interacting with all levels within an organization, using your exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups and effectively engage others in support of projects and initiatives. Your ability to inspire, persuade, influence, and motivate partners will be key to fostering engagement and driving results
