Status: Full-time, temporary (12-month contract) Vacancies: One FTE: 1.0 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Location: Work from home in the Calgary Zone The Calgary West Central Primary Care Network (CWC PCN) is seeking a Communications Advisor - Social Media and Digital Communications to join our collaborative and innovative team. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for social media and digital community management as well as communications planning, writing, and editing. You will coordinate and publish content via digital channels, moderate online communities, and monitor and measure results against key performance indicators that align with business and project-specific messaging and goals. This position is a maternity leave cover (12-month contract). This is a work-from-home position that provides the opportunity for independent work as well as collaboration with an experienced and knowledgeable team. The successful candidate must be located within the Calgary Zone or the surrounding area (e.g., Cochrane, Canmore, Airdrie). Responsibilities Social media and digital community management

  • Develop engaging content \xe2\x80\x94 written and visual \xe2\x80\x94 to publish on social and digital platforms (web, e-newsletters).
  • Publish and share appropriate, engaging, and accurate content with the right audiences at the right time.
  • Maintain a directory of responses and customer service replies for efficiency in responding to direct messages and posts \xe2\x80\x94 including protocols for addressing negative feedback and mitigating reputational damage from online trolls.
  • Leverage social listening and analytics to provide input and support the development of editorial calendars and content strategies.
  • Moderate, lead, and participate in online conversations, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
  • Act as a digital technology super-user, supporting colleagues with digital property administration and content development.
  • Monitor social and traditional media, with a focus on health and primary care news, to ensure team members and leadership are aware of pertinent information or new developments.
  • Collaborate to build and maintain an annual editorial calendar.
Communications planning
  • Collaborate with other functional groups to assist in conducting needs assessments, developing communications strategies, researching best practices, monitoring target audiences and influencers, implementing initiatives, and adapting existing programs to meet organizational and project-specific goals and objectives.
  • Participate in crisis communications planning and crisis response.
  • Identify opportunities to implement a strategic communications approach in support of goals and desired outcomes.
  • Ensure communications are audience-appropriate by using personas, testing key messages and concepts, and analyzing metrics.
  • Produce reports that show success metrics (key performance indicators).
Writing and editing
  • Lead the development of the monthly patient e-newsletter and content for social media.
  • Demonstrate a professional level of writing, ensuring strong spelling and grammar and that work products are error-free.
  • Edit and publish content in collaboration with colleagues. Peer edit documents and other written materials, in compliance with Canadian Press style. Act as \xe2\x80\x9cthe second set of eyes,\xe2\x80\x9d providing editing support for colleagues.
  • Proofread and edit materials before publication to ensure accuracy and consistency with CWC PCN brand and style guidelines.
  • Produce various types of content including (but not limited to): headlines, long-form content, short-form content, news stories, reports, image captions, and scripts and storyboards (for videos and podcasts). Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
Qualifications Education: A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in communications, digital marketing, or a related field is required. Experience: A minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the communications field is required. A minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with client management, collaborative projects, social media strategy, content development, and monitoring is required. A minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the primary care field is an asset. Agency, government, and not-for-profit experience is preferred. Functional knowledge: Advanced writing and editing skills. Experience writing and editing in compliance with Canadian Press style standards is considered an asset. Background check: A clear Criminal Background check is required to start.
