We are looking for innovative, experienced and passionate communicators who want to have an impact and make a difference joining us to reimagining medicine. As a Communication and Engagement Lead you will be responsible for creating and driving strategic integrated projects, collaborating in a dynamic environment with internal and external stakeholders.The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Country Head of Communication and Engagement and will work closely with Therapy Areas cross functional teams.Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the business, create and support implementation of communications and patient advocacy strategies, with an ecosystem mindset.
  • Enhance Patient relations with relevant patient groups.
  • Lead insights-driven integrated communications for disease awareness & activation campaigns, media milestones.
  • Be responsible for leading issue management for the therapy area business partner.
  • Be responsible for flawless execution of the communications and patient advocacy plans, ensuring cross-functional alignment, including budget and resource allocation management.
  • Manage PR agencies and other external vendors to secure maximum return on investment, operational excellence and business impact.
Essential Requirements:
  • Master's degree / University diploma or equivalent; 10 years of experience in Communications/Patient advocacy
  • Strategic thinking and solid operations management and execution.
  • Strong collaborative attitude and ability to manage complex projects in cross functional teams.
  • Resilience and agility with strong leadership, collaboration, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Initiative, self-motivation and superior organizational and time management skills.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Bilingual: English and French an asset, experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Utilization of Objectives, goals, strategies and measures (OGSM) framework, a goal setting and action plan framework used in strategic planning with measurable results and assessment.
