The Commercial Estimator will help ECCO Supply grow our existing sales of mechanical equipment, grilles and other related product to our Bid & Spec customer base. To accurately and efficiently take-off plans, itemize products and equipment in preparation for quoting. The Commercial Estimator is expected to perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.
Key responsibilitiesGeneral Duties:
Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO's customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Manufacturing
Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
Read and comply with ECCO's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Read and comply with ECCO's Human Resources Policies and Procedures
Assist in the success of ECCO's Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work.
Commercial Estimator:
Plan take-off of our commercial grille/register & mechanical equipment.
Assemble quantity and sell prices for our commercial grille/register & mechanical equipment.
Identify and solicit potential clients.
Assist and share in customer sales and technical calls requiring assistance.
Promote and secure business from all aspects of the HVAC, and related industries.
Ensure all customers are treated in a professional manner and attend to queries, disputes, etc. promptly.
Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding performance.
Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all quotes submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and market share.
Maintain accurate record of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted.
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Participate in annual inventory count.
Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO Supply, suppliers and / or customers.
Participate in industry related associations, i.e., monthly meetings.
Work closely under the supervision of more senior ECCO estimators who will provide mentoring and coaching.
Other duties as deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of the industry/ mechanical systems.
Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
Solid technical, communication and presentation skills to assist customers with proper HVAC selection.
Strong computer skills including estimating software.
Willing to upgrade education.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desire to be a long-term employee and contribute to the company's overall success.
