Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented heavy equipment and transit Collision Estimator to join our repair facility. The Collision Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing and estimating the cost of repairs resulting from collisions or accidents. This role requires a strong understanding of repair procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair technicians.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repairs required and identify any hidden damages. Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for vehicle repairs, including labor, parts, and materials, using industry-standard estimation software. Collaborate with insurance companies and adjusters to negotiate repair costs and ensure timely claim approvals. Communicate and explain repair estimates, timelines, and procedures to customers in a clear and professional manner. Coordinate with the repair team to schedule repairs and ensure the availability of necessary parts and materials. Continuously monitor the progress of repairs, communicate updates to customers, and address any concerns or changes in the repair process. Verify completed repairs against original estimates and conduct final quality inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and customer expectations. Maintain accurate records of repair estimates, work orders, and customer communications for reference and documentation purposes. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, repair techniques, and insurance policies to provide accurate and reliable estimates. Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies at all times.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in automotive repair or estimation is preferred. Proven experience as a Collision Estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry. In-depth knowledge of automotive repair procedures, parts, and materials. Proficiency in using Mitchell. Strong mathematical and analytical skills to accurately assess repair costs and calculate estimates. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair technicians. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience. Familiarity with insurance claims processes and regulations. Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the automotive repair industry. Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
