Position Overview

The Coat Check Attendant is the first and last point of contact for many guests at Blackshaws Barcade. This role is responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient coat check service, ensuring that guests feel valued, their belongings are secure, and their overall experience is positive.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide clear coat check instructions. Safely store coats, jackets, bags, and other personal items while maintaining an organized storage area. Issue and track coat check tickets to ensure accurate return of belongings. Handle guest inquiries politely and professionally. Monitor the coat check area to prevent loss or theft. Assist in resolving any coat check discrepancies quickly and calmly. Keep the coat check area clean, neat, and accessible at all times. Provide excellent customer service, reflecting Blackshaws Barcade's friendly and energetic environment. Support barcade staff with general guest service as needed during peak times.

Qualifications

Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred, but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light lifting (up to 25 lbs). Must be punctual and trustworthy with guest belongings.
