We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator with experience in
woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, or panel processing
. This role involves programming, setup, and operating CNC routing machines used to cut plywood, MDF, particle board, and laminate materials for custom components. The ideal candidate has hands-on shop experience and can read production drawings to ensure accurate, high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
Program CNC routers for plywood and panel machining (nesting, routing, drilling, grooving).
Set up and operate CNC machines based on production requirements.
Interpret production drawings, blueprints, and cut lists to generate accurate programs.
Select appropriate tooling, cutters, speeds, and feeds for wood materials.
Perform first-piece and in-process quality checks to maintain precision and finish standards.
Load and secure sheet goods (plywood, MDF, veneer, laminate panels) onto the machine bed.
Maintain machine cleanliness, tool maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Collaborate with production and design teams to improve efficiency and minimize material waste.
Follow safe work practices and ensure a clean, organized work area.
VCarve, Mastercam for Wood, EnRoute, AlphaCAM, Cabinet Vision, WoodWOP, or similar
.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and nested panel layouts.
Knowledge of woodworking tools, cutter types, tooling maintenance, and handling sheet goods.
Strong attention to detail, quality, and material optimization.
Able to lift sheet materials and work safely in a production environment.
Nice to Have (Assets):
Experience with
nested-based manufacturing
workflows.
Experience in
custom millwork, furniture, architectural panels, or fixture production
.
Understanding of laminating, edging, and finishing processes.
