Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming with the ability to work with various CNC machines, including milling machines and lathes. This role is crucial for ensuring precision in our manufacturing processes, utilizing Mastercam Software. The main focus at this time will be in our 3-axis vertical machining centres.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for VMC's to ensure high-quality production.
The work will vary from small production runs to one off sections, where 2D and 3D programming is required.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to create accurate machining instructions.
Collaborate with project managers and production teams to improve manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles.
Conduct setup, calibration, and operation of CNC machines.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize precision measuring tools to produce accurate products.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
What You Bring
Proficiency in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.
Familiarity with CAM software, particularly Mastercam, is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining.
Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with manual machines is advantageous.
