Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled

CNC Programmer/Operator

to join our growing shop team. This role is central to producing high-quality cabinetry, custom millwork, and precision components for our trade show displays. The ideal candidate will have experience programming and operating CNC equipment as well as an edge bander, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. Our builders handle assembly and laminating, allowing this position to focus on programming and machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC machines and edge banders for cabinetry, millwork, and trade show display components. Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical plans to create precise machining instructions. Develop and optimize CNC programs to maximize efficiency and minimize production time. Perform machine setups, tool changes, and calibration checks. Conduct quality control using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.). Work closely with the shop team to ensure seamless workflow from programming to assembly. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, production runs, and changes for future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience in CNC programming and operation, ideally in cabinetry or custom millwork. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC control systems. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with woodworking machinery, CNC routers, and edge banders. Solid understanding of tooling, geometry, and machining processes. Excellent math and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and quality.

Pay: $21.35-$40.78 per hour
